Welcome to Castle Rising Parish Council.

Castle Rising is a small village located 5 miles north-east of King’s Lynn in the Norfolk Coast AONB. The village dates back to the late Saxon period and has a long history. Its historic buildings include a Norman castle and the church of St Lawrence, built in the 12th Century, the Trinity Hospital alms-houses built in the 17th Century and a number of listed buildings giving Castle Rising Conservation Area status. With a thriving pub, tea-rooms and a number of successful small businesses, the village is a considerable tourist attraction and can become very busy in the summer months.

The Parish Council is the first tier of local government. Its aims are to:

  • represent the democratic interests of residents
  • maintain and improve the village and its environment for living and working.

Our website is a source of information about the Parish Council and our work, and we encourage communication from residents on relevant matters of interest.
