Norfolk County Council’s Highways Department responded rapidly to a recent Parish Council report highlighting the dangerous condition of Ling Common Road. In response to the report, Highways said:
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Upon further inspection it is noted the road has deteriorated significantly since our last inspection. As such we have prioritised works to repair the defects identified, this should be evident in the coming weeks.”

Also –
Norfolk County Council’s Public Rights of Way team have replaced a missing Public Footpath sign at the entrance to Keeper’s Wood off the A149, following a report by the Parish Council that the sign had fallen. The sign had rotted away at its base, and had then disappeared.

The Public Rights of Way team look after approximately 2400 miles of footpaths, bridleways and other byways across Norfolk. Their inspection and maintenance of the network is an ongoing and important part of the Council’s work, ensuring that public access rights are maintained.
